In 2018, Cartoon Network’s “Craig of the Creek” was created by award-winning “Steven Universe” alums Matt Burnett and Ben Levin. Although they are not persons of color, they have taken special attention to the inclusion and positive representation of minorities within the series. “Craig of the Creek” puts a nuclear Black family front row and center while developing storylines around a precocious, adventurous kid named Craig Williams (along with his friends) as they go on magical adventures in the creek.
