Mother and daughter created the Princess Shuri doll every Black girl needs!

If you’ve seen Black Panther, then you know that one of the best characters in the movie is Shuri, the tech-savvy princess of Wakanda.

Princess Shuri, played by the breakout star Letitia Wright, has received plenty of praise for being a STEM heroine for young Black girls to look up to on the big screen. She’s brilliant and funny, and she has a hilarious back-and-forth with her brother, the King T’Challa, that is honestly a joy to watch.

So is it any wonder that people would want their very own Princess Shuri doll?

My Froggy Stuff, a mother/daughter duo who work together to create their own custom dolls, has given fans an early Christmas present. In a new DIY video on their YouTube channel, the two designers create a Shuri doll complete with beautiful braids, face paint, and a gorgeous outfit.

The mother and daughter behind My Froggy Stuff aren’t the only ones inspired by the story of Princess Shuri.

Disney has been so inspired by the success of the Marvel movie that the legendary studio is giving back to the community with a substantial donation to STEM education,

The company announced in a press release that it would be donating $1 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America to help kids realize their STEM dreams.

It is thrilling to see how inspired young audiences were by the spectacular technology in the film,” Disney CEO Robert A. Iger said in a statement. “So it’s fitting that we show our appreciation by helping advance STEM programs for youth, especially in underserved areas of the country, to give them the knowledge and tools to build the future they want.”

Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate the record-breaking…
