Gabby Douglas Shares Her Post-Olympics Career Plans, And They Have Nothing To Do With Gymnastics

After being the first Black woman to win the all-around competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and taking home gold with the U.S. women’s Olympic team (during the team events) in Rio last year, many are wondering what is next for Gabby Douglas. But at the end of the day, I was super, super happy that fans were still supporting me and still coming out with positive things and encouragement.”

So what does Douglas want to do next? Aside from continuing to be a role model, eating some cake and maybe taking up skateboarding, she said that she seriously wants to act.

“[I want to] be on TV like in a movie space like film, acting,” she said, stating that she has already started auditioning. “I have a few projects in the works and I’m currently taking acting classes right …
