Donna Brazile Appointed As Howard University’s King Endowed Chair In Public Policy

Her five-part lecture looks to bring awareness to politics, voting, criminal justice reform and more.

 

Historical veteran political strategist and author Donna Brazile has been appointed as Howard University’s Gwendolyn S. and Colbert I. King Endowed Chair in Public Policy for the 2018-2019 school year. According to a press release from the University, Brazile is working to develop and host a five-part lecture series that will educate the Howard community on issues such as politics, voting, criminal justice reform and civility.

Brazile’s political trajectory led her to make history as the first African-American woman to direct a major presidential campaign. She served as Al Gore’s campaign manager during the 2000 election, going on to become the former Interim Chair of the Democratic National Committee as well as a New York Times bestselling author for her book Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-Ins and Breakdowns That Put …
